Top Tips from Fellow Trainees
- The rota isn't actually what happens. Negotiate with work mates and decode the rota between you. (Ann D'Cruz doesn't really do the rota)
- Don't miss out on dizzy physio (Julie Rowe) and dizzy clinic (Sue Morris). Voice clinic at Newton Abbot is good too, as are the general clinics.
- cross cover nights (ortho/ gynae/ ENT)-- biggest workload is the ortho's then gynae then ENT. Speak to the ortho's reg if possible and find out what they want from you both overnight and am. Don't worry, it's fine! Ortho handover--know the patient's normal level of activity. Ring gynae reg before 8am for handover.
